Photo Submission Rules
What Types of Photos Are Accepted
Petals, Paws & Tides only accepts photographs in three categories: animals, flowers, and oceans. These can include wildlife shots, nature close-ups, wide seascapes, and more — as long as the content fits one of the three themes. All photos must be original and taken by the person submitting them. Any copyrighted or AI-generated images will be rejected. Content must be family-friendly and suitable for a general audience.
Size Limits
All images must be under 5MB in file size. For the best display quality, we recommend a resolution of at least 1280 pixels on the longest side, but no larger than 1920x1080 pixels. This ensures your photo looks great on all devices and screen sizes.
File Types
We currently accept JPG and PNG formats only. Files that are submitted in unsupported formats (like HEIC, PDF, or RAW) will not be reviewed or displayed. Make sure your image has a clear file extension such as `.jpg` or `.png` before submitting.
Submission Process
To submit a photo, go to the Submit page and use the form provided or follow the instructions for email-based submission. Each participant may submit up to three photos per contest period. Please name your files using this format: `firstname_category#.jpg` (example: `alex_flower1.jpg`). Submissions are reviewed within 48 hours before appearing in the public gallery. If you have questions or need help, feel free to email us.
